EachText Privacy Policy

1. The Short Version

EachText (“One Message. Every Person. Personally.”), published by The Victory Project, Inc., keeps your contact groups, message drafts, and sending progress on your iPhone. There are no user accounts, no EachText cloud servers, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party analytics. EachText does not transmit your contacts or messages to the developer or to any third party.

2. Local Contact Group & Session Storage on Your Device

When you use EachText, the application stores only the information needed to provide its features inside your iPhone’s local sandboxed application storage (AsyncStorage):

  • Contact Groups: The group names you create, along with the display name, first name, and single selected telephone number for each person you add to a group.
  • Message Drafts: Unfinished message text for a group and whether first-name personalization ({firstName}) is enabled.
  • Sending Sessions: Progress for an active, paused, or completed sending session (recipient name, selected telephone number, personalized message text, and session step status such as pending, opened, send tapped, confirmed, cancelled, or skipped) so you can pause and resume without sending duplicates.
  • Local Recovery Copies (if applicable): If local storage ever becomes damaged or unreadable, EachText preserves a protected local copy on your phone so your data is not silently overwritten while you choose whether to recover valid entries or start fresh.

This information remains in EachText’s private storage on your iPhone and is protected by your iPhone passcode and iOS data protection.

3. Device Contact Permissions

EachText asks permission to read your iPhone Contacts solely so you can choose people to add to a group.

  • Read-only access: EachText reads contact names and telephone numbers, displays them alphabetically on your screen with search, and copies only the people and specific phone numbers you select into your group. Contacts without telephone numbers are excluded.
  • Never modified or uploaded: EachText never edits or deletes your phone’s Contacts and never uploads your address book to any server.
  • Full or Limited Contacts Access: On iOS, you can grant EachText access to all contacts (Full Access) or only specific contacts you choose (Limited Access). You can change or revoke this permission at any time in Settings → EachText → Contacts on your iPhone, or from Settings → Manage Contacts Access inside EachText.

4. Personalized Messages, Draft Storage & Automatic Draft Deletion

All message composition and first-name personalization happen locally on your iPhone:

  • On-device first-name personalization: When you include the {firstName} token and enable personalization, EachText replaces {firstName} with each group member’s saved first name locally on your device before opening the native message composer. If a contact has no first name saved, EachText removes the placeholder and tidies surrounding punctuation automatically.
  • Local draft persistence while composing: While you are writing a message for a group, EachText saves your unfinished draft locally on your iPhone so you do not lose your work if you switch screens or close the app before finishing.
  • Automatic draft deletion upon session completion: When you complete a sending session for an entire contact group, EachText automatically clears the saved message draft for that group from local storage so the composition field starts fresh and empty the next time you message that group.

5. The Native iOS Messaging Composer & User Control of SMS Sending

EachText never sends a text message by itself or silently in the background. You remain in complete control of every message:

  • Native Apple Messages composer: For each recipient, EachText opens your iPhone’s built-in Apple Messages composer (MFMessageComposeViewController) pre-filled with one recipient’s telephone number and their personalized message.
  • Manual Send tap required for every recipient: Nothing is transmitted until you manually tap Send inside the Apple Messages window for that person. You may edit the message text or tap Cancel at any time.
  • Separate one-to-one messages: Each person receives their own separate individual message from your phone number. EachText never creates a multi-recipient group text thread.
  • Continuous auto-advance: When Auto-open next message is enabled on iPhone, after you manually tap Send and the previous native Messages composer finishes closing, EachText automatically advances to the next recipient and opens their pre-filled native Messages composer. You can pause or stop auto-advance at any time.
  • Carrier transmission & delivery reporting limitation: When you tap Send, the message is transmitted by Apple Messages and your mobile carrier under their respective terms and privacy policies, not EachText’s. Your iPhone reports to EachText only whether Send or Cancel was tapped in the composer, not whether the message was ultimately delivered to the recipient’s device, so EachText never claims confirmed carrier delivery.

6. Information EachText Does Not Collect

EachText does not collect, transmit, rent, or sell your contacts, phone numbers, group lists, message drafts, sent messages, location, photos, health data, or device identifiers, and it contains no advertising or tracking software. EachText does not require an internet connection to operate.

Apple may offer optional diagnostics and crash sharing in your iOS settings, and Apple TestFlight may collect beta feedback if you choose to submit it. Those features are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by EachText.

7. Data Handling, Backups, Retention & Deletion

Your saved information stays on your iPhone until you remove it:

  • Remove a person or group: Open any group in EachText to remove a member or delete the group. Removing a member or deleting a group in EachText never deletes anything from your iPhone’s Contacts app.
  • Delete all EachText data at once: Open Settings (the gear icon on the EachText home screen) and tap Delete All My Data to permanently erase every group, member list, message draft, sending session, and local recovery copy stored by EachText on your phone.
  • Uninstalling the app & device backup limitations: Deleting the EachText app removes its local storage from your iPhone. If you use Apple iCloud Backup or computer backups, your iPhone may include EachText’s local data in those backups according to your Apple settings. EachText cannot access or control those backups, and copies in an older backup may remain until that backup is updated or deleted.

8. Responsible Messaging & Policy Updates

Only message people who know you and would expect to hear from you, or who have agreed to receive your messages. Do not use EachText for spam, unsolicited advertising, harassment, scams, or anything unlawful.

You are responsible for your messages and for following all applicable laws and carrier rules, including consent and opt-out rules for text messaging (such as the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act). If someone asks you to stop messaging them, promptly remove them from your groups.

EachText is a general-purpose productivity utility, is not directed to children under 13, and collects no personal information from anyone. If this Privacy Policy changes in a future update, the revised version and updated date will appear on this page and inside the app.
